Our Charity
WordCamp Louisville is supporting 2 charitable organizations:
The first charity is the University of Louisville Kentucky Autism Training Center. This organization provides education and support for parents, teachers and other professionals who in turn support those with Autism. They have done great work with individuals on the Autistic Spectrum for years.
One of the organizers and points of contact for WordCamp Louisville is Eric Blackwell. He is the father of 4 children, two of whom are on “the spectrum”. The KATC was instrumental in providing diangoses, support and help to his two sons, Jordan and Cameron, who now speak nationally about the potential of children with Autism.
We intend to donate 50% of all net proceeds from WordCamp Louisville to the University of Louisville Kentucky Autism Training Center.
The remaining 50% will be donated to the WordPress Foundation.
