WordCamp Louisville is supporting 2 charitable organizations:
The second charity that is being supported by WordCamp Louisville is the WordPress Foundation. This charitable organization was created by WordPress founding developer Matt Mullenweg. The WordPress Foundation provides support for free access to open source software including WordPress, WordCamp, and other related projects.
We support Matt Mullenweg and his charitable efforts. We think this is a great way to say THANK YOU for all that Matt has provided the WordPress community. We intend to donate 50% of all net proceeds from WordCamp Louisville to the WordPress Foundation. The other 50% will be donated to the University of Louisville Ky Autism Training Center.
